Meet Oscar, Ossy boy, Ossy Boss, Big boy, Turd burger and my fur son.

Meet Oscar,

The most amazing and resilient two-legged dog I have ever met, and we cannot wait to share his life and adventures with you as he lives BIG!

Not only is he the big boy and boss at the farm he melts the hearts of everyone who meets him.

Oscars story

I still remember the call.

I was volunteering as a foster carer when the rescue reached out to say a one-week-old cavoodle had come into care , but he was different. He had only two legs, and they needed someone willing to take him on.

At that stage, the advice from the vet was gentle but heavy…
that it might be kinder to let him go.

But something in me just couldn’t accept that.

So we brought him home.

My fur son

For those early weeks, life revolved around him – feeding every four hours, day and night; watching closely; hoping quietly. And little by little, he grew stronger. Then stronger again.

At six weeks old, he began physiotherapy.
At eight weeks… something incredible happened.

He popped up onto his two little legs… and bounced across the room.

We both just stood there crying proper, full, happy tears , because in that moment, we knew he wasn’t just surviving… he was going to live a big, full life.

And from that day on, he has never stopped.

Honestly, he’s like Forrest Gump — running like he stole something, with absolutely no intention of slowing down.

Oscar has since been featured on the American TV show Wizard of Paws, where he was fitted for a prosthetic leg. But in true Oscar fashion… he seems to think he runs better without it.

And really, that’s Oscar.

Resilient. Determined. Completely himself.
And without a doubt, the heart of our home.
